Circumcision of the Heart Ministry
For we are the circumcision, which worship God in the spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh.

The challenges and crises of life can tax us to the very end of our strength, in such times it is easy to want to give up. However, James offers followers of Christ another perspective. He says that while life is a battle, it is also a blessing “Indeed we count them blessed who endure". You have heard of the perseverance of Job and have seen the end intended by the Lord…that the lord is very compassionate and merciful: James 5:11.

In Job’s example, we find encouragement and the power to persevere in life’s darkest hours…power rooted in God, who is compassionate and merciful. I thank God for Jesus and for all of my experiences that were necessary to change me into the man I am today.
Born, Lorenzo Hamilton Jr. on April 3, 1976, at Morton Plant Hospital in Clearwater Florida; my parents Debra Ann Gooden and Lorenzo Hamilton Sr. However, I was raised by a single parent, my mom with two other brothers, Anthony and Rahseen Gooden.

During the first ten (10) years of my life I lived in Marianna, Florida with my mom and two brothers, without a father or male role model. Times were painful and hard; mom could barely feed us. At the age of 10, we moved to Largo, Florida to live with our grandmother, grandmother’s boyfriend, my two aunts and their four children.

Times were hard and difficult there. Eventually my mom moved us to the Ridgeview Projects in Largo, Florida. It was there at the age of 11, began a life of crime; breaking into homes, stealing, preferably bicycles and groceries from stores. Eventually, I graduated to strong arm robbery. Facing an 18 month juvenile sentence, my mom intervened and requested that the case worker and judge consider sending me to live with my father in Augusta, Georgia. As a result, I got to meet my father for the very first time. I lived with my father and my step mother, two brothers, one sister and a niece for four years. Life was pretty good for awhile…However at the age of 17years, I moved back to Largo to live with my mother. I eventually dropped out of school and started dealing drugs fulltime. I was in and out of jail. My first sentence was 3 years, followed by a 16 month sentence and subsequently, a 12 year federal prison sentence of which I am now serving.

While serving time in jail, as well as the first two times in prison, I became acquainted with the word of God. I knew of Jesus but failed to establish a relationship with him; which was something that I truly wanted for my life. Eventually, in 2004, I truly gave my life to Christ. I can say now that I truly know what it means to be loved by God. I’ve had wonderful experiences of God’s grace, mercy, long suffering, and forgiveness.
Since my incarceration here in federal prison, I have received my GED. I have taken classes in parenting, to enable me to be a better father to my son Zaiere Hamilton. I have taken a behavioral development course, received a certificate in electrical wiring, and I am now working toward completing a paralegal course at Blackstone Career Institute.

I can now say I have been baptized and I am walking in a newness of life. Also, I have graduated from Circumcision of the Heart Theological Studies. God has blessed me with a beautiful wife, Mrs. Latina Hamilton. Latina is truly an angel and heaven sent. My wife and I were married January 28, 2010. Apart from gaining a phenomenal woman as a wife, I’ve been blessed with two wonderful and incredible sons, Trae is 23 years old and EJ is 12 years old.

My goals apart from being a good husband and father are to receive a doctorate in Theology and Christian Counseling. My wife and I hope to start our own business and no-profit organization to help and assist the unfortunate. I also would love very much to teach Theology at a Seminary or Bible College, as well as work as a counselor.

My wife and I firmly believe that we can make calls out of our own spiritual consecrations, but, when we get right with God He brushes all these aside and rivet us with a pain that is terrific to one thing we never dreamed of and for one radiant flashing moment we see what He is after; we say “Here we are send us”. It is our prayer that God uses us until He uses us up; that He makes us broken bread and poured out wine in a special way.

We solicit your prayers as we embark upon this wonderful journey of marriage and service for our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
